According to Sea News, Masoud Polmeh, the Secretary-General of the Iranian Shipping and Related Services Association, stated that Iran does not face any fleet supply problems on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Even though existing ships are relatively old, we do not have any fleet problems. He added: If there is cargo available and the government takes steps to attract cargo and transit, the possibility of increasing cargo transportation by up to 200% is also achievable.
He noted that we have many difficulties in attracting cargo, especially in the Caspian Sea, mentioning the lack of cargo in the Caspian Sea and the Caspian Sea and the reluctance of Russia and India to transport cargo and transit, which has led to a lack of significant growth in transit in the Caspian Sea.
Polmeh stated: One of the main factors in reducing transit volume is transit complexities and increased transit costs from Iran, which have prevented countries like Russia and India from entering the transit discussion.
He added: Removing barriers in the transit sector and reducing the costs of freight stations in collaboration with customs will increase transit in this sector.
Polmeh stated: The government should address and eliminate rules that easily change national interests due to the interests of an organization or institution and challenge them. If these issues are addressed, we will see an increase in transit from the country to 20 million tons.
