Sea news – On Sunday, internet connectivity across parts of Asia and the Middle East was severely disrupted. Reports indicate that several subsea cables in the Red Sea, near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, were damaged. The outages affected major networks in countries including India, Pakistan, and the UAE, with providers such as Etisalat and Du experiencing significant interruptions.
Microsoft confirmed that its Azure cloud customers may experience increased latency as internet traffic was rerouted through alternative pathways.
Earlier, Cinews had issued an exclusive warning that, in response to ongoing crimes by Israel against the people of Gaza, Yemen’s resistance movement (Ansar Allah) might take action against critical regional infrastructure, particularly Red Sea subsea cables. These cables—including Google’s Blue-Raman, Bharti Airtel’s 2 Africa, and Sea-Me-We 6—carry a substantial portion of global data traffic between Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
